A Politicized Campaign and Baseless Accusations: The UAE and Sudan in the Crosshairs of Misinformation
Amid the political and security crises affecting parts of the region, the United Arab Emirates remains steadfast in its humanitarian and ethical approach—supporting affected populations and promoting stability across the world, including in Sudan, which is currently facing one of its most critical periods. However, a concerning development has been the rise of politicized and systematic media campaigns targeting the UAE with baseless accusations that rely on fabricated narratives and malicious interpretations.
Recent allegations attempting to implicate the UAE in Sudan's internal situation are baseless and entirely lacking in evidence. These claims have not been supported by any credible investigations or material proof. Instead, they appear to be part of a broader campaign driven by parties with specific agendas, aiming to escalate tensions and sow division among nations and peoples. The UAE, which has consistently provided humanitarian aid and support to the Sudanese people, is now facing unfounded accusations that distract from the real sources of the conflict and suffering.
The UAE’s humanitarian aid has never been selective or politically motivated. Since its founding, the country has upheld a principled approach of standing with peoples affected by conflict, crisis, and disaster—regardless of geography, religion, or politics. The people of Sudan have long been beneficiaries of this unwavering support, receiving medical aid, food supplies, field hospitals, and developmental assistance during some of their darkest hours.
This approach extends far beyond Sudan. From Yemen to Syria, Palestine to Afghanistan, and even distant regions like Haiti and the Philippines, the UAE has consistently demonstrated its commitment to alleviating human suffering and preserving human dignity around the world.
The current media campaign targeting the UAE is a transparent attempt to distort facts and undermine the country’s positive contributions to complex humanitarian and political issues. Those behind the campaign seek to incite public opinion against the UAE leadership by spreading misinformation and false narratives. However, the awareness of the Sudanese people—and many others globally—makes it increasingly difficult for such campaigns to succeed.
The UAE is not a party to Sudan’s internal conflict. Rather, it stands as a force for peace, stability, and humanitarian support. Its honorable stance and moral integrity remain evident despite all attempts at defamation and deception.
